I never thought I would be facing a cancer diagnosis, let alone colon cancer. But that is exactly what happened to me. In this article, I will discuss how I came to realize I had colon cancer, and how I sought treatment and support during my journey.
Realizing I Had Colon Cancer
It all began when I started to experience abdominal pain. I had no idea what was causing it, so I went to my doctor to get checked out. After a series of tests, the doctor discovered that I had a tumor in my colon. At first, I was in disbelief. I couldn’t believe that I had cancer. I then had to go through more tests to determine the stage of my cancer.
Seeking Treatment and Support
Once I had a diagnosis, I started to seek out treatment and support. I went to a cancer center to discuss my options. There, I met with a team of specialists who helped me come up with a treatment plan. I also found a support group for people with colon cancer, which was incredibly helpful in giving me the emotional support I needed during this difficult time.
My journey with colon cancer has been difficult, but I am thankful for the treatments and support I have received along the way. I am hopeful that I will be able to beat this disease and live a long and healthy life.
