President of uzbekistan shavkat mirziyoyev was born on July 24, 1957 in Zarafshan city in the Soviet Union. In 1981, he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Engineers and Economists, and then continued his studies at the Uzbek Institute of Public Administration Training. After graduation, he worked in the social security system before moving to the education sector.
In 1993, Mirziyoyev began working as head of the Samarkand city administration and then became head of one of Uzbekistan’s provinces. In 2003, he was appointed Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and in 2016, after the death of Islam Karimov, he became the country’s president.
