Has your computer’s hard drive outgrown? Do you need your photos, videos, and files to be accessible anytime, from anywhere, and with any device? Cloud storage for big data is for you!

‍Why Cloud Storage for Large Files

Saving files in the cloud are very simple and, to some extent, free. Today there are many secure storage services to choose from. Would you like to know which ones? The best cloud storage for companies to save files in the cloud.

The main options for cloud storage for large files safely are the following:

    1. Dropbox

Dropbox is the most popular option for saving files in the cloud. We all love Dropbox, surely the first hard drive in the cloud that we use. Despite being a veteran, its popularity has not waned, and it remains one of the best alternatives to store our files. One of the main condemnations of this platform is that it has not yet solved the problem that when a file is shared and two people work on it simultaneously, a conflict is created, the file is duplicated, and errors often occur.

The free storage space it offers is only 2GB, expandable with different promotions. If we want more space, we have to go to the checkout: the price per month.

    2. Google One

If you use a Gmail email account or Android’s mobile phone, you surely know Google Drive. Well, if you add Gmail, Google Photos, and some other services to Drive, the result is Google One, Google’s subscription-based cloud storage. All your services with Google are stored in this cloud, and the best thing is that to use it, you don’t have to register anywhere if you already have a Gmail account.

To access it, you have to go to Google Drive and press the option “Buy more storage,” or from the web one.google.com ‍ Currently, Google provides 15GB of free storage to all users. From there, it offers different pricing plans for all needs.

Google One is a very good storage service that includes direct technical support and sharing space with up to five family members. If that were not enough, you could easily make backup copies of your Android mobile phone on it.

    3. iCloud

iCloud is an option to save files in the cloud for Apple customers. Apple users have their dedicated storage. If you have an iPhone, an iPad, an iPod, or a Mac, surely iCloud is already part of your life. The main asset of this platform for saving files in the cloud is that it allows you to instantly synchronize your Apple devices and access your photos or videos wherever you are. In addition, you can create shared albums, access all your documents from any device or computer (even Windows), keep your contacts, calendars, emails, or reminders updated, etc.

Apple iCloud is phenomenal and even essential for users of the Apple ecosystem (Mac and iOS), but too close to the rest. Also, the process can be complicated if you try to get out of it and take your data to another platform.

    4. Microsoft OneDrive

As you might expect, Microsoft also has its platform for saving files in the cloud: OneDrive. Its main advantage is that it is perfectly integrated into Windows; the world’s most widely used desktop operating system. Also, if you work with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or use Hotmail, OneDrive will allow you to work more productively and intelligently. The free space it offers is only 5 GB, but you can expand it to 100 GB, 1 TB, or 6 TB.
